  What would it take for you to conclude that the WBTS is not God's channel?

  i wondered if you could answer this question for me?

  you seem to be fine with the fact that they are false prophets, that they have changed the bible and that they have entered into an agreement to "uphold the aims of the un".. what is the deal breaker for you?.

  i suspect that there isn't one, and that is not a reasonable position.. please tell me there is something they could do that would make you question their legitamacy?.

  I was, however, a little disappointed to hear the comment that the Society got rich out of '75.

  There is some truth to that , the years prior to 1975 there was a strong surge in service work and

  literature being purchased. Those were the days when all literature had to be purchased at the KH for

  a set price and usually sold for a small profit. There was an ever present bout of anxiety among the JWS leading up to 1975,

  so much so as to actually cause certain people to commit suicide. A culminated amount of fear was apparent, that pushed

  people to go out in service ever more so. I was one of them !

  i have read today this quote from one member on facebook going by the name of ruth eeker.. .

  based on her quote, she states that "as well in regards to the un, the society has various name versions registered still in the un.

  so they are still not completely out of the supposed beast!".

  This religious publishing company has always assumed they have the freedom and the right to twist

  and lie whatever information they revealed to the public, in support of themselves and the circulation of their literature.

  One might perceive them then as divinely self inspired by outward corruption.

  There are 7 million poor souls that are still being coerced, manipulated and exploited by these assholes to this very day.

  The fearful commercialization of the end of the world and many of its inhabitants has been going on now

  for over a century spearheaded by religious publishing companies like the JWS and others religious organizations,

  its just another pretentious exploitation that religious charlatans use to make money.

  Take the already established belief in the bible and its words and exploit off it, Russell, Rutherford and the ones that followed them

  all knew this. The problematic psychological consequences particular with the young is well documented by these fear mongering cults.

  Fear also goes along way encapsulating and entrapping ignorance.

  The commercialization of god is big business particularly in the United States and creates huge amounts of wealth and power to a select group.

  Isn't that right Reniaa ?

  What Bored You The Most As A JW?

  i got very bored while i was a witness.. the meetings were so boring!!!.

  jws are supposed to be "busy" in the lord's work.

  if you're busy, you shouldn't be bored, right?

  The most boring part for myself were the assemblies, even when I tried to concentrate I thought the speakers

  presentation was just redone propaganda that I heard already a million times over and over again.

  Funny how they would hype the summer assemblies every time with new light and a new publication to be presented,

  as if there would be new important info on the impending end of the system of things,

  in other words constantly holding out that proverbial carrot on a stick. I think they still do that if I'm not mistaken.

  Lets just say my literature was full of doodle art.

  Looking back on it now it was all just a waste of time and human effort.

  Does anyone here celebrate holidays? Why?

  i didn't originally celebrate anything, but when my oldest son started school i decided that it was unfair to put him through what i went through in school.

  i have to admit that i am loving the holidays, even though some of that old mindset tries to make me feel guilty.

  we focus on what the holidays mean to us as a family and enjoying time together.

  Not really don't like to celebrate anything that has to do with spiritualism, that includes Halloween , Easter, Christmas etc.

  But I certainly partake and celebrate non-spiritual occasions like birthdays Father's day , Mothers day and so forth.

  The reasons being that anything to do with Spiritualism is just human ignorance redone.

  What is the Organization Trying to Acheive?

  i don't understand their mode of operation.. if they want lots of growth, why don't they just lighten up a bit and dispense with the whole charade of harshness and disfellowshipping.

  encourage charitable works, social gatherings, education, freedom of speech, having a family etc etc etc.

  this would greatly increase their numbers and their bottom line $$.. they seem to be shooting themselves in the foot at the moment.

  after a meeting and said something that i can still can recall some 30 years latter , he just got back from working.

  at bethel in brooklyn and to my surprise he said " aw the organization was just a publishing.

  While still attending meetings and going out in service as a JW lad, one of the elders in my hall chatted with me

  after a meeting and said something that I can still can recall some 30 years latter , he just got back from working

  at Bethel in Brooklyn and to my surprise he said " Aw the organization was just a Publishing

  House " I remember acknowledging what he said and walked away wondering why did he said that.

  This after all was a very well respected elder and his wife was a special pioneer. Over a period of time a

  light was set off and I resolved within myself that all this end times talk and Armageddon soon to come

  was just a marketing ploy that the organization was using to promote their literature a very cunning

  exploitation on the belief in the bible and of bible scripture.

  In review of the very beginning of the WTS. there was always an in obvious marketing agenda behind

  the curtain so to speak that still is in full operation today. To me this was was to immoral of a thing to

  support I was more than willing to devout myself to god and his son but I wasn't about to

  support something this dishonest or promote this to the public . The acceptance that the WTS. was

  really god's only solemn earthly organization was shattered and I eventually left with no big fanfare or commotion.

  Its just a different perspective that I wish more people would come to realize.
